(a) A few Officers who were appointed to the Staff before 15th February, 1905, with daily rates of pay under Article 115 Pay Warrant 1900, and allowances, will continue to draw such rates until the expiration of their original tenure. There are also four Army Service Corps Colonels employed on the Staff who draw pay under Article 116, II., and Scale B., Article 224, Pay Warrant, 1906. (b) Seven at consolidated pay of 5501., and, in the Channel Islands, one at consolidated pay of 3501., and one at 12s. a day with allowances.
(c) The Staff Officers for Imperial Yeomanry in these Commands are the Colonels in charge of Cavalry Records (see page 127A).
(d) Pay for the Staff Officers, Royal Engineers, is taken under Vote 1, Subhead C. (Regimental Pay).
in Regimental Establishments. (e) These four Assistant Directors draw regimental emoluments and their pay is included (under Vote 1, Subhead C.) in that of the 22 Lieut.-Colonels of the Army Service Corps provided for

() Two Brigadier-Generals commanding grouped Regimental Districts are also in charge of the Infantry Records of their Districts.
(b) Includes the Officer Commanding the Rifle Depôt who is also in charge of Records.
(c) At the rate of 7007. (6007. if in Quarters) a year for seven months, and, for the remaining five months, whilst employed as Staff Officers for Imperial Yeomanry, at the rate of 7501. (6507. if in Quarters) a year.
(d) Also administers the Corps of Royal Engineers as regards Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and men (except Supernumerary Staff).
(e) Also commands the Army Service Corps Depôt.
(a) These rates are provisional, pending the consolidation of the Pay and Allowances of Officers holding Commands and Staff Appointments at stations abroad, following the lines of the consolidation effected in the case of Home Staff Appointments.
(b) These Officers, being Colonial Governors, receive no Staff Pay from Army Funds.
(e) The General Officer commanding in South Africa receives a special rate of pay (4,000l. a year), which includes table money (500l. a year) and other allowances.
(d) Commands the Troops in the Mediterranean and receives a special rate of pay (5,000l. a year) which includes all allowances. (e) This Officer also receives Coast Pay of 7s. 6d. per diem.
(f) These Officers also receive Coast Pay of 10s. per diem.
(g) Including for Remounts, 1 Assistant Quarter-Master-General, 2 Deputy Assistant Quarter-Master-Generals, and 6 Staff Captaine. (h) Pay for the Staff Officers, Royal Engineers, is taken in Regimental Establishments.
(1) These Assistant Directors draw pay under Scale B, Article 224, Pay Warrant 1906. The pay of the Assistant Director at Gibraltar is taken in Regimental Establishments. (j) Consolidated rate (4707. if in quarters) which includes allowances.
(a) The minimum rates only of the pay of each rank are shown; the difference between these and the increased rates is provided in Recapitulation on page 133.
(b Including 1 for hospital duties.
(e) 4 Farriers in the Cavalry (including Household Cavalry) are Warrant Officers.
(d) 7 Cavalry of the Line Saddletree Makers are Serjeants.
NOTE.-Five additional Serjeants are allowed to the Cavalry of the Line at home for recruiting purposes.
