The lock connecting this with the Lancaster Canal is 100ft long by 26ft wide. There is a graving dock attached 197ft long (187ft on blocks), entrance 35ft wide. Outside the dock there is 400ft of quay wall, dry at LW., and in dock there is 1,000ft of quayage space. Steam cranes, coal tip, &c.
