THIS book of prayer is so arranged that it may be used without difficulty by those who, in family worship, prefer to confine themselves to the words of the Book of Common Prayer. All prayers which are not in substance derived from that precious volume are printed in a special type, and may be omitted altogether, or only used occasionally. Each member of the household should be provided with one of these books; and the reader should also have at hand the Collects of the Church.* Let the Responses, the General Confession, and the Lord's Prayer be said audibly by all.
