Sivu 27 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Sivu 55 - And, beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith, virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge, temperance; and to temperance, patience ; and to patience, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sivu 25 - And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
Sivu 26 - But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Sivu 34 - But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord : for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ...
Sivu 22 - For I have not spoken of myself: but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Sivu 55 - But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure, for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall...
Sivu 24 - Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Ps. xxxii. 1, 2. saying, "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Sivu 24 - Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay; but by the law of faith.
Sivu 36 - If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them. Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled ; notwithstanding ye give them not those tilings which are needful to the body ; what doth it profit ? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
