The Annual Examination was held at Stafford on 10th and 11th April, when 16 Candidates presented themselves for examination for first-class Certificates, and 25 for second-class Certificates; 4 of the former and 13 of the latter were successful.

The names of the successful Candidates were as follow :

During the year five fatal and 56 non-fatal accidents were reported, resulting in five deaths and injuries to 56 persons. The corresponding figures for the previous year were four deaths and 55 persons injured.
