Lam. iii. 22. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

26. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

31. For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

32. But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies. 38. For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. 、

Dan. ix. 9. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him.

Hos. ii. 19. And I will betroth thee unto me in faithfulness, and thou shalt know the Lord.

Joel ii. 13.......... Turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Mi. vii. 18.... He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us.

Zep. iii. 17. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love...

Zec. ix. 17. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty!

ADMIRE, AND MEDITATE ON THE

WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD.

Gen. i. 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

11. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth and it was so.

20. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

24. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind and it was so.

Gen. ii. 7. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

4. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush.

Ex. xv. 11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Deu. iv. 32. For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

33. Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

8. He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

5. God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

14. Hearken unto this...stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.

Ps. i. 1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly.

2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Ps. viii. 1. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

3. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man that thou visitest him?

6. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7. All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field:

9. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Ps. ix. 1. I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. Ps. xix. 1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.

2. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

8. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
