Isa. xlii. 1.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth.

Isa. xliii. 1. Thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

6. I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

7. Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

21. This people have I formed for myself.

Isa. xlix. 15. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Isa. liv. 5. For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name ;...

Isa. lxii. 4. Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken ; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate : for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

5....As the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

Isa. lxiii. 8. For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.

16. Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham

be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O Lord, art our father, our redeemer.

Isa. lxiv. 8. But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Jer. iii. 4. Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth? 19. .....Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.

Jer. xxx. 22. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

20. Is Ephraim my dear son ? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still.

31.... And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God.

Hos. ii. 19. And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness,...

23. ...I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

Hos. xi. 1. When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Mal. i. 6. A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master if then I be a father, where is mine honour?...saith the Lord of hosts.

Mal. ii. 10. Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us ?...

Mal. iii. 17. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord

of hosts,...and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

NONE BUT A WILLING SERVICE

IS PLEASING TO GOD.

Ex. xxxv. 5. Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord:

21. And they came every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the Lord's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service...

22. And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted...

29. The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

Lev. xix. 5. And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, ye shall offer it at your own will.

Lev. xxii. 29. And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it at your own will.

Deu. xvi. 17. Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.

Jos. xxiv. 15. ... Choose you this day whom ye will serve;...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Jud. v. 9. My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the Lord.

1 Ch. xxviii. 9. ...

Know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind.

1 Ch. xxix. 5.... Who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?

6. Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel,...offered willingly.

9. Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord.

14. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

17....As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

2 Ch. xvii. 16. And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the Lord.
