Mr. Thomas Were Fox, as Consul at Plymouth; Mr. John Graham Stewart, as Consul at Glasgow; and Mr. John Roxburgh, as Consul at Greenock, for the Republick of Texas.

LIST of Addresses of Congratulation, transmitted for presentation to His Royal Highness Prince Albert, on the occasion of the Birth of a Princess, and presented to His Royal Highness by the Right Honourable the Marquess of Exeter: From the Mayor, Authorities, Clergy, and other Inhabitants of Deal; the Mayor, Aldermen, Councillors, and other Inhabitants of Cardigan; the Provost, Magistrates, and Town Council of Inverness; and the Members of the Protestant Operative Association and Reformation Society of Cork.

THIS day, the Lords being met, a message was sent to the Honourable House of Commons by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, acquainting them, that The Lords, authorized by virtue of a Commission under the Great Seal, signed by Her Majesty, for declaring Her Royal Assent to several Acts agreed upon by both Houses, do desire the immediate attendance of the Honourable House in the House of Peers to hear the Commission read; and the Commons being come thither, the said Commission, empowering the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, and several other Lords therein named, to declare and notify the Royal Assent to the said Acts, was read accordingly, and the Royal Assent given to

An Act to amend the law for the registration of persons entitled to vote, and to define certain rights of voting, and to regulate certain proceedings in the election of Members to serve in Parliament for England and Wales.

An Act to authorize the Legislatures of certain of Her Majesty's colonies to pass laws for the admission, in certain cases, of unsworn testimony in civil and criminal proceedings.

An Act for abolishing certain offices on the Crown side of the Court of Queen's Bench, and for regulating the Crown Office.

An Act to continue, until the thirty-first day of July one thousand eight hundred and forty-four, and to the end of the then session of Parliament, the several Acts for regulating turnpike roads in Ireland.

An Act to empower the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Woods to appropriate to building purposes the area of Thatched House-court, and to widen and improve Little Saint James-street, in the parish of Saint James, Westminster.

An Act to enable the London and Brighton Railway Company to raise a further sum of money, and for altering and amending the Act relating to such railway.

An Act to enable the Northern and Eastern Railway Company to make an extension of their present railway, and to alter and amend the Acts relating to the said railway.

An Act to extend the powers and provisions of an Act, passed in the last session of Parliament, intituled "An Act for improving the navigation of Faversham-creek, in the county of Kent."

An Act to alter, amend, and enlarge the powers and provisions of an Act for lighting with gas the town and neighbourhood of Leeds, in the borough of Leeds, in the west riding of the county of York.

An Act for better lighting with gas the town and borough of Newport, in the county of Monmouth.

An Act to enable the Company of Proprietors of the Preston Water Works to raise a further sum or sums of money, to alter and amend the Act incorporating the said Company, and to extend and enlarge their powers.

An Act for the improvement of the Norland Estate, in the parish of Saint Mary Abbotts, Kensington, in the county of Middlesex.

An Act for making further provision for paving, lighting, cleansing, regulating, repairing, and improving the streets, highways, and other public places in the parish of Saint Matthew, Bethnalgreen, and for paving such parts of Old Cocklane and York-street as are in the parish of Saint Leonard, Shoreditch, in the county of Middlesex.

An Act for paving, lighting, cleansing, watering, regulating, and otherwise improving the town of Portsea, in the county of Southampton; and for removing and preventing nuisances and annoyances therein.

An Act for amending the Act establishing the London Cemetery Company.

An Act for altering, amending, and enlarging the powers and provisions of an Act, passed in Her present Majesty's reign, for the better drainage of lands in Bourn North Fen and Dyke Fen, in the manor and parish of Bourn, in the county of Lincoln; and for other purposes concerning the drainage of the same lands.

An Act for regulating legal proceedings by or against the Anderton Carrying Company.

An Act for more effectually maintaining, improving, and repairing the road leading from the south end of the New Bridge of Glasgow, by or near Parkhouse, to Three Mile House, in the county of Lanark.

And two private Acts.

The Queen has been pleased to nominate Field Marshal His Royal Highness Prince Albert, K. G. to be the First and Principal Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, and to constitute and appoint His Royal Highness Acting Great Master of the said Most Honourable Order, in the room of His Royal Highness the Duke of Sussex, deceased.

The Queen has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal of the United Kingdom, granting to His Royal Highness Adolphus Frederick Duke of Cambridge, K. G. the offices of Chief Ranger and Keeper of Hyde Park and St. James's Park, in the room of His. Royal Highness the Duke of Sussex, deceased.
