THE Queen has been pleased to present the Reverend William Simpson, M. A. to the church and parish of Barry, in the presbytery of Arbroath and county of Forfar, vacant in consequence of the Reverend James Lumsden, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend John Campbell to the church and parish of Reay, in the presbytery and county of Caithness, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Finlay Cook, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.

MEMORANDUM.

Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to permit the 22d (or Cheshire) Regiment of Foot to bear upon its regimental or second colour, and also upon its appointments, the word "Scinde," in commemoration of the distinguished gallantry displayed by the Regiment in the campaign against the Ameers of Scinde, in the early part of the present year 1843.

THE following Addresses, on the occasion of Her Majesty's recent tour, having been transmitted to the Right Honourable the Earl of Aberdeen, one of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, for presentation, were presented accordingly to Her Majesty, who was pleased to receive the same very graciously:

From the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the ancient and loyal town and county of Southampton; the Rural Dean and Clergy of the town and county of the town of Southampton; the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the ancient borough of Plymouth; the Pupils of the Plymouth Corporation Grammar School;

the Clergy of the towns of Plymouth, Devonport, and Stonehouse; the Mayor, Aldermen, Burgesses, and Inhabitants of the borough of Dartmouth; the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the borough of Devonport; the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of Falmouth; the Inhabitants of the town and neighbourhood of Falmouth; the Mayor, Clergy, Justices, Aldermen, Councillors, and others, inhabitants of the borough of Penryn; the Chancellor of the diocese of Winchester and Clergy of the deanry of South West Droxford; and the Mayor, Aldermen, and Burgesses of the borough of Devonport :

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend John Crosbie to the church and parish of Westruther, in the presbytery of Lauder and county of Berwick, vacant in consequence of the Reverend Walter Wood, late Minister thereof, having ceased to be a Minister of the Church of Scotland.
