IN pursuance of the directions of an Act, passed in the twenty-fourth year of the reign of His late Majesty King George the Third, intituled "An Act to repeal so much of two "Acts, made in the tenth and fifteenth years "of the reign of His present Majesty, as au"thorises the Speaker of the House of Commons "to issue his warrant to the Clerk of the Crown "for making out writs for the election of Mem"bers to serve in Parliament in the manner "therein mentioned; and for substituting other provisions for the like purposes:"

I do hereby give notice, that the death of Hugh Henry John Seymour, Esq. late Member serving in this present Parliament for the county of Antrim, hath been certified to me in writing under the hands of two Members serving in this present Parliament; and that I shall issue my warrant to the Cierk of the Crown, in Ireland, to make out a new writ for the electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament for the said county of Antrim, at the end of fourteen days after the insertion of this notice in the London Gazette.

MEMORANDUM.

The King has been pleased to approve of the 27th Regiment of Foot being permitted to bear on its colours and appointments, in addition to any other badges or devices which may have heretofore been granted to the Regiment, the words

in commemoration of the distinguished conduct of the late 3d Battalion at the siege of Badajoz, on the 16th March 1812; at the battle of Salamanca, on 22d July 1812; at Vittoria, on 21st June 1813; in the Pyrennees, in July 1813; at Nivelle, on 10th November 1813; at Orthes, on 27th February 1814; and in the attack of the position covering Toulouse, on 10th April 1814.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS Our Parliament stands prorogued to Thursday the third day of January next;. We, with the advice of Our Privy Council, do hereby publish and declare, that the said Parlia ment shall be further prorogued, on the said third: day of January next, to Tuesday the fifth day of February next; and We have given order to Our Chancellor of that part of Our United Kingdom called Great Britain, to prepare a commission for proroguing the same accordingly; and We do fur: ther hereby, with the advice aforesaid, declare QurRoyal Will and Pleasure, that the said. Parliament shall, on the said fifth day of February next, be held and sit for the dispatch of divers urgent and important affairs: And the Lords Spiritual and · Temporal, and the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, and the Commissioners for Shires and Burghs of the House of Commons, are hereby required and commanded to give their attendance accordingly, at Westminster, on the said fifth day. of February next.

Given at Our Court at Brighton, the tenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and twenty-one, and in the second year of Our reign.

The KING's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

HIS Majesty in Council was this day pleased to declare Richard Marquess Wellesley, Knightof the Most Noble Order of the Garter, Lieutenant-General and General Governor of that part of the United Kingdom called Ireland.

This day His Grace Charles Duke of Dorset, Henry Marquess Conyngham, and the Right Honourable Henry Goulburn, were, by command of His Majesty, sworn of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, and took their respective places at the Board accordingly.

The King has been pleased to appoint the Duke of Montrose to be Lord Chamberlain of His Majesty's Household, in the room of the Marquess of Hertford, resigned,

The King has also been pleased to appoint the Marquess Conyngham to be Lord Steward of His Majesty's Household, in the room of the Marquess Cholmondeley, resigned.

The King has been pleased to appoint His Grace Charles Duke of Dorset to be Master of the Horse to His Majesty, in the room of the Duke of Montrose, promoted to the office of Lord Chamberlain of His Majesty's Household.
