sing with joyfulness. And grant unto all them that are admitted into the fellowship of Christ's religion, that they may eschew those things that are contrary to their profession, and follow all such things as are agreeable to the same. May it please thee to save and defend thy servant William our King; to direct all his counsels to thy glory and the welfare of his people, and to preserve and bless all the Royal Family.

:

We praise thee, O God, for all thy mercies; particularly during the past day but above all things we give most humble and hearty thanks to thee, O God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, for the redemption of the world by the death and passion of our Saviour Christ, both God and man; who did humble Himself, even to the death upon the cross, for us miserable sinners, who lay in darkness, and the shadow of death, that he might make us the children of God, and exalt us to everlasting life. To Him, therefore, with thee, O Father, and the Holy Ghost, may we give, as we are most bounden, continual thanks, submitting ourselves wholly to His holy will and pleasure, and studying to serve Him in true holiness and righteousness all the days of our life.

And, O Almighty Lord, who art a most strong tower to all them that put their trust in thee, to

whom all things, in heaven, in earth, and under the earth do bow and obey, be this night and evermore our defence, and make us know and feel that there is none other name under heaven given to man, in whom, and through whom, we may receive health and salvation, but only the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Grant this, we humbly beseech thee, for His sake.

SATURDAY MORNING.

Let us Pray.

WE sinners do beseech thee to hear us, O Lord God, who, if we confess our sins, art faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ our Lord.

O Lord, we were conceived and born in sin, and have committed many actual transgressions, provoking most justly thy wrath and indignation against us. Spare us, good Lord; be merciful to us whom thou hast redeemed, and pardon us for thy mercy's sake; and grant that we, being regenerate, and made thy children by adoption and grace, may daily be renewed by thy Holy Spirit. O Saviour of the world, who by thy cross and precious blood hast redeemed us, save us, and help us, we humbly beseech thee, O Lord.

Give us grace, O heavenly Father, that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when He shall come again in His glorious Majesty to judge

both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal through Him. Send thy grace unto us and to all people, that we may worship thee, serve thee, and obey thee, as we ought to do. And we pray unto thee to send us all things that be needful both for our souls and bodies; to be merciful unto us, and forgive us our sins; and that it may please thee to save and defend us from all dangers, ghostly and bodily, and to keep us from all sin and wickedness, and from our ghostly enemy, and from everlasting death. May it please thee to give us increase of grace to hear meekly thy word, and to receive it with pure affection, and to bring forth the fruits of the Spirit; and so to follow thy blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys which thou hast prepared for them that unfeignedly love thee.

Have mercy upon our relations, friends, and neighbours, pour upon them the riches of thy grace, sanctify and bless them, that they may please thee both in body and soul.

O Lord, we beseech thee to keep thy Church and household continually in thy true religion; and grant that, being alway preserved from false Apostles, it may be ordered and guided by faithful and true Pastors; and that the Ministers and Stewards of thy mysteries may so prepare and make ready thy

way, by turning the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, that at thy second coming to judge the world, we may be found an acceptable people in thy sight.

Protect and defend our gracious Sovereign, and together with him bless all the Royal Family. May it please thee to preserve all sick persons; to defend and provide for the fatherless children and widows, and all that are desolate and oppressed.

Accept, we beseech thee, our humble thanks for all thy goodness and loving kindness to us and to all men; for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ. Make us unfeignedly thankful, and grant us grace, that we may henceforth obediently walk in thy holy commandments; and, leading a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, may continually offer unto thee our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving for thy mercies towards us, through Jesus Christ our Lord; to whom, with thee, and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, world without end.
