The committee were much pleased with the general appearance and number of this valuable class of animals, and of the great improvement that has taken place in this breed, within the last few years, but they beg leave to suggest to some of the most extensive breeders, that their stock would be much improved by a judicious cross from other animals of the same class.

In awarding the prize for the best 3 cows and 3 heifers, to E. P. Beck, the Judges were influenced by the uniformity and many good qualities of these animals, and by their general appearance altogether.

The cows exhibited by Mr. Stevens, were highly commended, and the cows and heifers exhibited by Mr. Garbutt, were well worthy of notice.
