WINTHROP, Speaker of the House of Representatives. CHAP. 1.-AN ACT for the relief of the heirs of Jean F. Perry, Josiale Bleakley, Nicholas Jarrot, and Robert Morrison. sued to them. (Sec. 1.) Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress as. sembled, That the register of the land office at Kaskaskia be Certificates or required to issue certificates of confirmation on the several confirmation on claims to lands confirmed to the said Jean F. Perry, Josiah clains to be is Bleakley, Nicholas Jarrout, and Robert Morrison, by the governors of the northwestern or Indiana territories, upon those claims where such certificates have not heretofore issued, which certificates shall be issued to the heirs of the said persons, and shall not exceed in the whole four thousand six hundred acres of land, Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That such certificates may be located in legal subdivisions upon any land subject to private entry in any land office in Illinois, established for the sale of the public lands agreeably to the provisions of the act entitled "An act confirming certain claiins to land in the Illinois territory, and providing for their location, approved April sixteenth, eighteen hundred and fourteen, and patents shall be Palents to issue. 188ued therefor agreeably to said act. Ligon. of the Treasury cost of the stone cornice on the Charlotte, N. C. (Sec. 1.) Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the United States of America in Congress asThe Secretary sembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereto ascertain the by', authorized and directed to ascertain the cost of the stone ne cornice upon the branch mint erected at Charlotte, in the State branch mini at of North Carolina, under a contract made by the United States in October, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, with Reuben Perry and Thomas P. Ligon, and, if he shall find that the Amount found aforesaid stone cornice was substituted by proper authority, and and was beneficial to the building, shall pay the said cost to the said Perry and Ligon in full compensation for said stone cornice.
