LUKE IX. denly crieth out, and it tear eth him that he foameth again, and bruising him, hard 40 ly departeth from him. And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could 41 not. And Jesus answering said; O faithless and per verse generation; how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither. 42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his 43 father. And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. MATTHEW XVII. MARK IX. Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee; Come out of him, and enter no more 26 into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him. And he was as one dead, insomuch that many said, he is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. 28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately; Why I could not we cast him out? 9 And he said unto them; This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. 31 22 And while they abode in 30 24 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee ; and he would not that any man should know it. And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said; Doth not 25 your master pay tribute? He saith; Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying; What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of 26 strangers? Peter saith unto him; Of strangers. Jesus saith 27 unto him; Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece money; that take, and give unto them for me and thee. 1 MATTHEW XVIII. At the same time came the 33 disciples unto Jesus, saying; Who is the greatest in 2 the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child un-34 to him, and set him in the 3 midst of them, and said; Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as 35 little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of 4 heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of 5 heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. For there is no Iman which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against you, is on your part. • But whoso shall offend one 41 of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were MARK IX.
