And yet they are not three Almighties : but one Almighty. So the Father is God, the Son 5 God : and the Holy Ghost h God. And yet are they not three Gods : but one God. So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord : and the Holy Ghost Lord. And yet not three Lords : but one Lord. For like as we be compelled by the Christian verity : to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord; So are we forbidden by the Catholic Religion : to say, There be three Gods, or three Lords. The Father is made of none : neither created, nor begotten. The Son is of the Father alone : not made, nor created, but begotten. The Holy Ghost is of the Father and of the Son : neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding. So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons: one Holy Ghost, not three Holy Ghosts. And in this Trinity none is afore, inor after other : none is greater, nor less than * other; But the whole three Persons be co-eternal together ; and coequal. So that in all things, as lit is aforesaid : the Unity in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped. He therefore that will be saved : must thus think of the Trinity. Furthermore, it is necessary to everlasting salvation : that he also believe rightly in the Incarnation of our Lord Jesu Christ. For the right Faith is, that we believe and confess: that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and Man ; God, of the Substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds: and Man, of the Substance of his Mother, born in the world. Perfect God, and perfect Man : of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting; Equal to the Father, as touching his Godhead : and inferior to the Father, touching his Manhood. Who although he be God and Man : yet he is not two, but one Christ; One; not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh : but by taking of the Manhood into God;

One altogether; not by confusion of Substance : but by unity

of Person.

For as the reasonable soul and flesh is one man : so God and

Man is one Christ;

Who suffered for our salvation: descended into hell, rose again

the third day from the dead.

He ascended into heaven, he sitteth on the right hand of the Father, God Almighty : from whence he shall come to judge the

quick and "dead.

At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies : and shall give account "of their own works.

And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting : and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.

This is the Catholic Faith : which except a man believe faith

fully, he cannot be saved.

The Collect.

ALMIGHTY God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, (in the which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility ;) that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious Majesty, to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal, through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, now and ever. Annon.

The Epistle. Rom. xiii.

Owe nothing to any man but this, that ye love one another: for he that loveth another fulfilleth the law. For these commandments, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt bear no false witness, Thou shalt not lust, and so forth; (if there be any other commandment) it is all comprehended in this saying, namely, Love thy neighbour as thyself. Love hurteth not his neighbour; therefore is love the fulfilling of the law. This also we know the season, how that it is time that we should now awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is past, the day is come nigh; let us therefore cast away the deeds of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly as it were in the day light; not in eating and drinking, neither in chambering and wantonness, neither in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts of it.

The Gospel. Matt. xxi.

AND when they drew nigh to Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto mount Olivet, then sent Jesus two "disciples, saying unto them, Go into the town that lieth over against you, and anon Pye shall find an ass bound, and a colt with her : loose them, and bring them unto me. And if any man say ought unto you, say ye, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will let them go. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of the ass used to the yoke. The disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them; and brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and set him thereon. And many of the people spread their garments in the way; other cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. Moreover the people that went before, and they that came after, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David ; Blessed is he that cometh in the Name of the Lord ; Hosanna in the highest. And when he was come to Jerusalem all the city was moved, saying, Who is this And the people said, This is Jesus the Prophet of Nazareth a city of Galilee. And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple; and overthrew the tables of the money
