24. At Old Aberdeen, Mrs Lieut. Farquharfon, and, on the fame day and hour, her fifter, Mrs Schewan, in Pitfichie, parifh of Monymusk. - At Fitzroy Farm, Highgate, the Rt. Hon. Lord Southampton. His Lordship was but in the 49th year of his age, and, within a month before his death, appeared in the utmost vigour of life. Such is the frail tenure by which the life of man is held. He is fucceeded in his title by his eldest fon, an infant in the 6th year of his age. -· 26. At Burrowmuirhead near Edinburgh, Mifs Mary Greenfield, only daughter of the deceased Alex. Greenfield, cabinet-maker. At his houfe, Windfor Castle, aged 88, J. Beckett, Efq. He was one of the poor Knights of Windfor, being appointed in the year 1774, and was formerly a private in the life guards. His Majesty was fo pleased with his appearance and figure as a foldier, that he graciously ordered him to fit for his portrait in full length, which his Majefty had fufpended in the palace, and afterwards recommended him to the then vacant fituation as Poor Knight. 27. At Carlisle, aged 75, Richard Jack.fon, Efq. one of the Aldermen of the Corporation of Carlifle; a very worthy and highly refpected character, both in active and domeftic life. -. At Limefield, Mrs Eliza M'Into, relict of Thomas Gloag, Efq. of Chapelton. At Adderfley-hall, near Stoke Goldington, Bucks, aged 95, Colonel Skene, formerly an American loyalist. 30. At Edinburgh, Mr George Michie, royal navy. %% + Lately, at Weftruther, aged 100, Margaret Jordan. She had been upwards of 70 years in the Blantyre family. Lately, at Old Aberdeen, aged 81, James Clark, Efq. of Tillycorthy. He had long been an useful magiftrate in his native city of Old Aberdeen, and, in private life, was a man of the strictest integrity, and moft inoffenfive manners. Befides confiderable fums to his relatives, he has bequeathed L. 500 as a fund for the annual purchase of coals to the poor of Old Aberdeen, L. 100 to the Infirmary, L. 100 to the Lunatic Afylum, and L. 100 to the Poors House of Aberdeen.
