Jehovah, I will praise thee;

Truft ye in Jehovah for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlafting ftrength.

The way of the juft is uprightness : thou moft upright, doft weigh the path of the juft.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee: the defire of our foul is to thy name and to the remembrance of thee.

With my foul have I defired thee in the night yea, with my fpirit within me will I feek thee early.

For when thy judgments are in the earth the inhabitants of the world will learn righteoufnefs.

That her iniquity is pardoned: for the hath received of the Lord's

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: prepare ye the way of the Lord, make flraight in the defart a highway for our God.

Every valley fhall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made ftraight, and the rough places plain.

And the glory of Jehovah fhall be revealed, and all flefh fhall fee it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

O Zion that bringeft good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain, O Jerufalem that bringeft good tideings, lift up thy voice with ftrength, lift it up, be not afraid: say unto the cities of Judah, behold your God.

Thus faith Jehovah, in an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of falvation have I helped thee, and I will preferve thee: and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the defolate heritages.

That thou mayft say to the prifoners, go forth; to them that are in darkness, fhew yourselves: they shall feed in the ways, and their pastures fhall be in all high places.

They fhall not hunger nor thirst, neither fhall the heat nor fun fmite them: for he that hath mercy on them fhall lead them, even by the fprings of water fhall he guide them.

And I will make all my mountains a way, and my high-ways fhall be exalted: Behold, thefe fhall come from far, and these from the north and from the weft.

Sing, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and break forth into finging, O mountains: for Jehovah hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

But Zion faid, Jehovah hath forfaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her fucking child, that the fhould not have compaffion on the fonot her womb?

Yea, they may forget: yet will I not forget thee.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands: thy walls are continually before me.

Thy children fhall make hafte : thy deftroyers, and they that made thee wafte, fhall go forth of thee. D

As I live, faith the Lord, thou fhalt furely cloath thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee as a bride doth.

For thy wale and thy defolate places, and the land of thy deftruction: fhall even now be too narrow by reafon of the inhabitants, and they that fwallowed thee up fhall be far away.

The children which thou fhalt have, after thou haft loft the other, fhall fay again in thine ears: The place is too ftrait for me, give place to me that I may dwell.

Then fhalt thou fay in thine heart, who hath begotten me thefe, feeing I have loft my children, and am defolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up thefe? behold, I was left alone, these, where had they been?

Thus faith the Lord God, behold, I will lift mine hand to the Gentiles, and fet up my ftandard to the people: and they fhall bring thy fons in their arms, and thy daughters fhall be carried upon their fhoulders.

And kings fhall be thy nurfingfathers, and their queens thy nurfing-mothers: they fhall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the duft of thy feet.

And thou shalt know that I am Jehovah for they fhall not be afhamed, that wait for me.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty or the lawful captive delivered?

But thus faith Jehovah, even the captives of the mighty fhall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible

Break forth into joy, fing together, ye wafte places of Jerufalem for Jehovah hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerufalem.

Jehovah hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all nations and all the ends of the earth fhall fee the falvation of our God.

Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing: go ye out, be ye clean, that bear the veffels of the Lord.

For ye fhall not go out with hafte, nor go by flight: for Jehovah will go before you, and the God of Ifrael will be your rear-ward.

He is defpifed and rejected of men, a man of forrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was defpifed, and we esteemed him not.
