dient, and rebelled against thee, and caft thy law behind their backs: therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them.

And in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven: and according to thy manifold mercies, thou gavest them faviours, who faved them out of the hand of their enemies.

But after they had reft, they did evil again before thee: therefore lefteft thou them in the hand of their enemies, fo that they had the dominion over them.

Yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not but finned against thy judgments, which if a man do, he fhall live in them.

Yet many years didft thou forbear them, and teftified ft against them by thy Spirit and for thy great mercies fake, thou didst not utterly confume them.

Now therefore our God, the great the mighty and the terrible God, who keepeft covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble feem little before thee, that hath come upon us: howbeit, thou art just.

Y foul doth magnify the LORD and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

For he hath regarded the low eftate of his handmaiden: behold, from henceforth all generations fhall call me bleffed.

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things: and holy is his name.

And his mercy is on them that fear him: from generation to generation.

He hath fhewed ftrength with his arm: he hath fcattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their feats and hath exalted the humble and meek.

He hath filled the hungry with good things and the rich he hath fent empty away.

He hath holpen his fervant Ifrael: in remembrance of his mercy;

As he spake to our fathers: to Abraham, and to his feed for ever.

OD fo loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son: that whofoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God fent not his Son into the world, to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him, is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darknefs rather than light: because their deeds were evil.

Forevery one that doth evil, hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, left his deeds fhould be reproved : but he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifeft, that they are wrought in God. John iii.
