Many years, O Lamb;
And we in fome measure
Understand thy Aim;.
Find it juft and fitting,
Never to fay No;
O make us as willing
To fay Amen! too.
3. When the holy Fathers
All thy Mind did fee,
And for thy dear People

Oftentimes opprefs'd,

5. Under heaviest Burdens

They walk'd ftill upright; Took them as they happen'd,

Subftance all to lofe,
Yet again to venture

To build up God's House.
6. One was to the honour
Of the House's Sire:
One a chearful pfalmist

Of the Women's choir :

They were all to be
A distinct Expreffion
Of Election free.

With one Voice on Jefus call;
And when fitly, without ftrife,
Each his Duty does in Life.
5. Meek they are to all Mankind,
To good Offices inclin'd;
Ready, when revil'd, to blefs;
Studious of the public Peace.
6. Tender pity, love fincere
To each foul of Man they bear:
And,

And, as Chrift doth give them light, Come in our mouth, foul, fpirit,

Order all their Steps aright.

An Image of the Church above;
Plead thou its caufe before thy Sire,
Thou who partak 'it his Bofom-love;
