Lord thy Blood, thy Corpfe with wounds
indented,

Have my
heart and mind to thee cemented;
Ty Blood fhews clearly,

And I'll fing ever,

That I'm thy poor Sinner, O my Saviour! 33.

Now will we go and filent be,

And humbly bow both heart and knee
Before our Lamb and Head:
We'll venture gladly ev'ry thing'
At the Command of Chrift our King,
By him we'll be for ever led.
33.

Is it of us required,
Are we to tell defired,

Where we have our Abode?
Then thro' Earth's ev'ry border,
Tho' Rechabites by Order,

We dwell within the Side of God.
68.

Oft we go thro' ice and fnow,
Many an hour for one Soul's fake,
Her to gain for the Lamb flain,
That his Cov'nant she partake.

76.

The Lamb's Wounds purple Glances,
Who Health dispenses,

Our Wedges are and lances

In the World's heart.

8.

Ev'n when we're baffled feemingly,

This oft muft to a Land

The Rife of its Deliv'rance be,

Thro' his own wondrous Hand.

8.

For when our Seers, as it should feem,
Did nought to purpose do,

Then in Light's sphere is wrought by them
A Work compleat and true.

9.

Be we in e'er fo great Distress,

Our God can us deliver:
And should he not, HE ne'ertheless
Shall be our God for ever.

16.

Now how fhall we thofe mighty things prepare,

Which are committed to our Trust and

care?

To him, who bears his Church up with his pow'r,

That thou, wounded Lamb, lov'ft finners With deepe✯ rev'rence we commit them dearly.

2. Thou'lt be prais`d and honour'd by the Iffue

Of all thou haft done for me, my Jefu!

o'er.

13.

Say Yes to what we undertake;
Help us the fittest Course to take;

The

The Entrance, Middle, and the End So rule, that to the best it tend.

39.

O thou our Head! who this believes, That thou thy Members never leav'st, He's not afraid, nothing does him confound,

And in all Trials he maintains his ground.

13.

Thou bleeding Lamb, our dearest God!. Though all the World against us ftood, To lead us with reproach and shame, Yet we'll bear witnefs of thy Name.

8.

We always are quite glad with thee,
Whene'er a precious Stone
Is, by reception in thy Realm,
Added unto thy Crown.

8.

It grieves the Fiend, that by us how Not ev'n the least is done;

He'd rather much, that we should do, And in our own strength run.

8.

If e'er an enemy appears,

O'er us he hath no pow'r, Our people fright him by their Tears, The Angels him devour.

66.

That our Foreheads speak with cleatnefs
The afurance of thy Nearness;
What Blifs we had and Salvation
At the Spouse's revelation!
This in time, thou bleffed Being!
All men fhall in us be feeing;
Nor fhall other things divert us,
But we'll to thy Heart convert us.
18.

Th ftillness and in love we will be doing; Things only, which our Lamb commands, pursuing,

Till all men's courage fails and inclination for devaftation.

. XI. Exhortations.]

Now Brethren and fifters, come join hands in love,

21.

O Father, blefs thy dear Son's sweat

and Toil;

My Brethren and my Sifters all, Whom I fo dearly love. 8.

On all thy Brethren's work, Lamb, pour 1. Be, deareft Saviour! the Defence
thy Oil!
Of Souls which truft in thee
And now kindly water what we've been And let their Lives the World convince,

[blocks in formation]

Thy chosen Flock they be.

2. O Saviour Christ! behold all those, Who name thy facred Name; And stronger to their mind difclofe

The Myft'ry of their Lamb.

3. Extend thy Help to distant Parts, Thy Blood was fhed for all: Reveal thy Grace to Heathen hearts, Lord! bid thy fervants call.

9.

And therefore thy own Oath fulfill, Nor let thy Work lie_bleeding; But thy true Christendom be still In all its Wars fucceeding.

21.

Remember, dearest Lord, thy promises, To lead thy Pilgrim-hoft from place to place;

Let upon the Ocean, instead of drowning, Thy foldiers be unhurt and safe reclining On banks and rocks.

56.

Amen, Jefu! feal it true;
Make me for the Bride fo bleffed,
For thee dressed

In this precious Time of grace
On Earth's face,

And in all thy Matters, ftable,
Willing, lively, faithful, able,
And fafe guard me thro' my Race.
46.

Now then, thou Church's bleeding Prince,
Mark on Heart, mind and Forehead,
Until thy Coming shall commence,

Each Servant and each Handmaid, So that thy Heart's delight they be Both here and in Eternity;

And 'bide their Lamb fo gracious. 53. 1. I little Worm so poor,

Quite spoil'd thro' fin and stained,
Yet by my Lamb's red Gore

And bloody Sweat regained,
Now ftand before his Feet,
Just as I feel I am,
For my Election greet

The Nail-prints of the Lamb,

2. When I thy Kindness weigh, How Nails and fcourges tore thee, My Price and Debt to pay,

I melt in tears before thee,
It goes thro' Flesh and Bone;
Nor can ought make me glad,
But that which does acone,

The Blood to fave me fhed.
3. My Heart's i flam'd to thee,
With Sinner's Love affected:
I'm known by thee, I fee,

And hence to thee attracted Within; yet feel I, Lamb,

Something does ftill remain, Which gives me real Shame,

And puts my heart to pain. 4. If I no finner were,

Nor thy dear Wounds had tasted, Did not thy Heart appear

Open and manifested;
I could not bear the Weight,
Muft fink o'erpower'd here,
As a bird faints outright

When robb'd of needful air. 5. But chearful am I thus

In shame and deep Abasement :
Comes ought which would accufe?
My Heart inclines inceffant,
Instead of reasoning,

Myself and all to lofe
In that Blood's Well, wherein
All finners find Repose.

6. A Rock-hole's dove to be,
Is my thrice-happy station
Into the Nest I flee,

i

And by Blood's radiation
I fee my Husband's Heart,
Who nought can do but love;
And this, in all my Smart,

Thy new Blifs ftill does prove.
7. My Wounds and ev'ry Scar
My only Joy remaineth,
Thy bloody Sweat-drops are
That which my heart fuftaineth:
I'm in thy Side, my Lamb,
So well, that I reflect
If I or cubere I am?

And scarce can recollect.

8. Adorable Side's rent,

And ye four Nails incifions! Ye make my Bed and tent, And table and provisions,

At home and on the Road:

Have therefore thanks and praife, Thou Pleura! my Abode

Thou shalt remain always.

9. Lamb! thousand thanks have thou For this Predestination;

Nought but thy Wounds thereto

Gave me the invitation
I now am thy Reward,
The Philadelphia-Tone
Eternally, my Lord,

My joy fhall be alone.
10. I pray thee for my plan
Whereto I am appointed;
Let me poor Dust remain,

But yet with Pow'r anointed
A childlike Mind impart,

Whereon Blood sprinkled is; So fhall my poor frail heart Not easily tranfgrefs.

61.

1. Thou faw'ft us once oppreft with Fear, And faid'ft to each, "Thou poor dear child,

"There take my grace, be of good cheer!" We saw thy Face most kind and mild; And if we now not happy are, It grieves indeed thy loving Heart; Thou would't, that ev'ry hour we were Without all fear and felf-made smart. 2. We thank thee for thy Kindness, Lamb, And pray thee, keep us ever free From all, whereby thy glorious Name Cannot ador'd and praised be: Let us thy faithful Servants prove; Who ferve thee not as fearful Slaves, No, but as Children, in whom Love The heartieft Willingness ingraves. 3. Give us to praife thee ev'ry Hour, In ev'ry Deed, and Word, and Thought; Thou haft deferv'd all Praise and pow'r, For by thy Blood we all are bought. O let us henceforth feel thy Fire! Stir, Lord, that we may active be! And fince we live, let us defire, To bring fome thoufands more to Thce.
