No. 2.-1886.

AN ORDINANCE to provide for the service of the Gold Coast
Colony, during the year one thousand eight hundred and
eight-six.
[10th April, 1886.
Whereas it is requisite to make provision for the expenses
of the Civil Government of the Gold Coast Colony, during the
year One thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Be it enacted by the Governor of the Gold Coast Colony, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:

1. The Treasurer may, on the warrant of the Governor, pay out of the revenue of the Gold Coast Colony, the sum of one hundred and forty-eight thousand seven hundred and eleven pounds six shillings and two pence, and apply the same to the service of the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

2. The sum of one hundred and forty-eight thousand seven hundred and eleven pounds six shillings and two pence shall be appropriated in the manner and for the purposes expressed in the Schedule annexed to this Ordinance; And the said Schedule shall be deemed to be part of this Ordinance in the same manner as if it had been contained in the body thereof.

3. The sums granted by this Ordinance are for the services which will come in course of payment within the year ending on the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six; and any balances remaining unissued at the close of the year, shall lapse and not be available for meeting payments in a subsequent year.

4 From and after the passing of this Ordinance, the Ordinance No. 5 of 1885, intituled the " Supply Ordinance, 1886," shall be and is hereby repealed.
