else, when ye come to appear before the Lord, he will say, Who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? 1 Thou shalt not profane the name of thy God. 2 Let none blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called. 3 Whosoever curseth his God, shall bear his sin; and he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord shall be put to death. * Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 5 Let not the name of God, nor his word, nor his doctrine, be blasphemed. 6 Despise not the Church of God; neither profane his holy things, nor his ordinances. 7 Them that honour me, (saith the Lord) I will honour; and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 8 If he that despised Moses' law died without mercy; of how much sorer punishment shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and done despite unto the Spirit of Grace? Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Let them give glory unto the Lord from the end of the earth, and declare his praise in the islands. 5 Let every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea; and all that are in them, say, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and thanksgiving, and wisdom, and power, and might, be unto our God, and unto the Lamb that was slain for ever and ever. 6 • Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. Make known his deeds among the people; talk you of all his wondrous works; glory ye in his holy name. "Let us show to the generations to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. 8 • One generation shall praise his works to another; to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory; for thy mercy and for thy truth's sake. 2 Stand up and bless the Lord your God, who is worthy to be praised. 3 Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains; and while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death. 4 Be ye thankful unto God, and bless his name; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise continually, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift; for all things are for our sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. ' Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ. 8 Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God, and prayer. ' He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. Psal. xviii. 3. 5 3 Jer. 5 I Thess. v. 18. 7 Eph. i. 3. 1 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee; and serve him with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things. 2 We ought to give thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light; thanking God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. 3 We are bound likewise to thank God always for our brethren, because that their faith groweth, and their charity towards each other aboundeth. 4 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High; to show forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. 5 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving: For this shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock, that hath horns and hoofs. 6 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness; for praise is comely for the upright. Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises unto his name, for it is pleasant. 'Offer unto God thanksgiving. Whoso offereth praise, glorifieth him. 8 Let us sacrifice unto the Lord with the voice of thanksgiving, standing every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening.
