AN ACT to validate certain Rates struck by the Council of the Municipality of Day Dawn.

[Assented to 30th September, 1904.]

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

the striking of such rates shall be deemed to have been duly performed, and all actions and proceedings taken by the said council for the recovery of such rates shall be deemed to have been lawfully taken; and the said rates may be recovered by the said council as if, to all intents and purposes, the boundaries of the said municipality had been originally constituted as defined by the said proclamation.

AN ACT to amend the Industrial Statistics Act, 1897.

[Assented to 13th October, 1904.]

BE with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and

and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Industrial Statistics Amend- Short title. ment Act, 1904.

In section two of the Industrial Statistics Act, 1897, in the Amendment of interpretation of the phrase " Industrial Establishment." the words 61 Vict., No 26, "and any mine which has been worked at any time during the year, whatever be the number of persons employed," are repealed, and the words "but does not mean any mine are substituted.

AN ACT to amend the Tramways Act, 1885.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Tramways Amendment Act, Short title and 1904, and shall be read as one with the Tramways Act, 1885 incorporation with (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), which, as from the commencement thereof, shall be taken to have been amended as hereinafter provided.

2. Section thirty-four of the principal Act is hereby amended Amendment of sec. by inserting after the word "regulations," in the seventh line thereof, the words "made under this or the last preceding section."

3. Section thirty-six of the principal Act is hereby repealed, and Amendment of sec. the following shall be inserted in place thereof:
