The Shares of £50 each are paid up to the extent of £5 only, leaving a reserve of £45 per share or £4,500,000 in the aggregate available to meet the liabilities of the Company, in addition to the Guarantee Fund of £350,000. By the Articles of Association £25 per share-in other words one half of the subscribed capital of £5,000,000-must always be left uncalled, for the security of depositors.

The Bank collects Bills, Cheques Coupons, &c., receives Dividends, undertakes the Purchase and Sale of Stocks, establishes Credits at home and abroad, and transacts generally the usual branches of Banking business.

Current Accounts are opened on favourable terms.

The Bank receives sums of £10 and upwards on deposit, repayable at call, or upon 14 days notice, allowing liberal rates of interest.
