f. All that watch for Iniquity, fhall be cut off; and they that make a Man an Offender for a Word.

g. Whofo privily flandereth his Neighbour, he fhall be cut off. And Revilers fhall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

TRUTH

TRUTH and SINCERITY.

a. Lye not one to another; feeing ye have put off the old Man, with his Deeds. But fpeak the Truth, in Love.

b. Put away Lying, and speak every Man Truth, with his Neighbour; for we are Members one of another.

c. Lay afide all Guile, and Hypocrifies. Keep thy Tongue from Evil, and thy Lips from fpeaking Guile.

d. As God is true, let not your Word toward one another, be Yea, and Nay.

e. Of whom haft thou been afraid, that thou haft lied, and haft not remembred me (faith the Lord) nor laid it to thy Heart?

f. He that hateth, diffembleth with his Lips, and layeth up Deceit within him: He bleffeth with his Mouth, but curfeth inwardly; speaking Lies in Hypocrify.

g. As a Madman, who cafteth Fire-brands, Arrows, and Death; fo is the Man that deceiveth his Neighbour, and faith, am I not in Sport?

a. A lying Tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering Mouth worketh Ruin.

b. Let us follow after the things, wherewith one may edifie another. Let all things be done to edifying.

c. Let us confider one another, to provoke unto Love, and to Good Works; and so much the more, as we fee the Day approaching.

d. Let every one of us please his Neighbour, for his good, to Edification; not feeking our own Profit, but the Profit of many, that they may be faved. For, even Christ pleased not himself.

e. All things are lawful for me, but all things édifie not.

f. Strive not about Words, to no profit, but to the fubverting of the Hearers.

g. Let no corrupt Communication proceed out of your Mouth, but that which is good, to the use of edifying, that it may minister Grace to the Hearers.
