22 This is the Lords doing: and it is marvellous in our eyes.

24 This is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoyce and be glad in it.

25 Help me now, O Lord: O Lord, fend us now profperity. 26 Bleffed be he that cometh in the Name of the Lord]: we have wifhed you good luck, ye that are of the house of the Lord.]

[We have always been well-affected to thofe who tend at the Altar, and heartily pray, that God would multiply his Blessings toward you.]

27 [Joy and Comfort. In this Verfe (it fhould feem) David calls on the Priefts to do their Duty in offering the Sacrifices.

27 God is the Lord, who hath fhewed us [light]: bind the facrifice with cords, yea, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and Į will thank thee: thou art my God, and I will praise thee.

29 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is gracious: and his mercy endureth for ever.

Evening Prayer.

David is generally thought to have been the Compofer of this Pfalm, who, as he was a Perfon that met with great Changes, and variety of Conditions; fo be feems to reprefent every Period of bis Life in this Pfalm. It confists of as many Stanza's as there are Hebrew Letters, twenty two in all. The first begins with the first Hebrew Letter, the fecond with the fecond, and fo on to the end: And every Verfe of the Stanza, in the Hebrew, begins with the fame Letter that the Stanzja doth; therefore the Jews call it the great Alphabet.

3 For they who do no wickedness: walk in his ways.

4 Thou haft charged: that we fhall diligently keep thy commandments.

O that my ways were made fo direct that I might keep thy ftatutes!

6 So fhall I not be confounded: while I have refpect unto all thy commandments.

7 will thank thee with an unfeigned heart when I fhall have learned [the judgments * of thy righteousness.]
