12 And gave their land to be an heritage: even an heritage unto Ifrael his people.

13 Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for ever: [fo doth thy memorial,] O Lord, from one generation to another.

be the Owner of all the World, yet is he pleased in a peculiar manner to refide at Jerufalem.] Sion was the upper City, where the Temple ftood; Jerufalem the lower, but they were joined together, and fometimes one of thefe Names fignifies both.

Praise ye the Lord. (See Pfalm CXI. and Notes in Vindication.) A Pfalm much like the former; the chief difference is, that [his mercy endureth for ever] is repeated after every half Verse.

This mournful Pfalm feems to have been penn'd by fome pious Levite, toward the end of the Babylonifh Captivity: And it is to be remembred, that Babylon was a Type of Antichrist, and is defcrib'd by that very Name in the New-Teftament, Rev. xvii. 1, 5
