1. GOD is jealous, and JEHOVAH revengeth; JEHOVAH revengeth, and is furious;

2. JEHOVAH will take | vengeance on his adversaries, And he reserveth | for his enemies.

3. JEHOVAH is slow to | anger, and great in And will not at all acquit:

4. JEHOVAH hath his way in the whirlwind and the storm,

And the clouds are the dust of his feet.

5. He rebuketh the | sea, and maketh it dry,

And drieth up | all the rivers:

6. Bashan languisheth, and Carmel,

And the flower of | Lebanon languisheth.

7. The mountains quake at him,

And the hills do melt,

8. And the earth is burned at his presence, Yea, the world, and all that | dwell therein. 9. Who can stand before his indignation!

And who can abide in the fierceness of his 10. His fury is poured out like fire,

And the rocks are thrown | down by him.

And their smell shall come up out of their carcases,

melted with their blood:

And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved: 7. And the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: And all their host | shall fall down,

8. As the leaf | falleth off from the vine, And as a falling fig | from the fig tree.

1. Hearken to me, ye that | follow after righteousness, Ye that seek JEHOVAH:

2. Look unto the rock whence ye are hewn,

And to the hole of the pit whence | ye are digged.

3. Look unto | Abraham your father,

And unto | Sarah that bare you:

4. For I call-ed him alone,

And blessed him, and increased him.

5. For JEHOVAH shall comfort Zion:

He will comfort all her waste places:

6. And he will make her | wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden | of JEHOVAH; 7. 'Joy and gladness | shall be found therein, Thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

[Is. xlii. 13.] 1. JEHOVAH shall go forth as a | mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: 2. He shall | cry, yea, roar;

He shall prevail against his enemies. 3. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: 4. I will cry like a | travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

5. I will make waste mountains and hills, And dry up all their herbs:

6. And I will make the rivers islands,

And I will dry up their pools.

7. And I will bring the blind by a | way they knew not; I will lead them in paths they have not known:

8. I will make darkness | light before them,

And crooked things into straightness.

9. These things will I do unto them, And not forsake them.

"And to the temple, Thy foundation | shall be laid.

1. To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, And compare me, that we

may be like? 2. They lavish gold | out of the bag,

And weigh silver in the balance.

3. They hire a goldsmith, and he maketh | it a god: They fall down, | yea, they worship.

4. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, And set him in his | place, and he standeth:

5. From his place shall he not remove :

Yea, one shall | cry unto him,

6. Yet can he not answer,

Nor save him out of his trouble.

1. Seek ye JEHOVAH, while he may be found,

Call ye upon him, while he is near:

2. Let the wicked for sake his way,

And the unrighteous man his thoughts:
