[Cht. 26.] SELECTION 332. [Is. xxvi. 4.] 1. Trust ye in JE|Hovah for ever :
For in Jan Jehovah | is the Rock of ages. 2. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high ;
The lofty city, he layeth it low; 3. He layeth it | low, to the ground;
He bringeth it | even to the dust. 4. The foot shall | tread it down,
The feet of the poor, the steps of the needy, 5. The way of the just is uprightness :
Thou, Most Upright! dost | weigh the path of the just. 6. Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O JEHOVAH! | have we waited for thee: 7. The desire of our soul is | to thy name,
And to the remembrance of thee. 8. With my soul have I desired thee I in the night ;
Yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: 9. For when thy judgments are in the earth,
The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
[Cht. 115.] SELECTION 333. [Is. xxxiii. 14.] 1. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire!
Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings! 2. He that | walketh in righteousness
And speaketh in uprightness; 3. He that despiseth the I gain of oppressions,
That shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, 4. That stoppeth his ears from | hearing of blood,
And shutteth his eyes from seeing evil ; 5. He shall | dwell on high;
His place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: 6. Bread shall be given him ;
His waters shall be sure. 7. Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty :
“They shall behold the land that is very far off.

[Cht. 80.] SELECTION 334. 1. Have / ye not known?
Have | ye not heard ?
2. Hath it not been told you , from the beginning ? Have ye not understood from the foundations of the
earth? 3. It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,
And the inhabitants thereof | are as grasshoppers ; 4. That stretcheth out the heavens | as a curtain,
And spreadeth them out as a | tent to dwell in : 5. That bringeth the princes to nothing;
'He maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. 6. Yea, they shall not be planted;
'Yea, they shall | not be sown:
Yea, their stock'shall not take | root in the earth : 7. And He shall also blow upon them, and they shall wi
ther, And the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

1. The poor and needy seek | water, and there is none,
And their tongue doth | fail for thirst, 2. I JEHOVAH will hear them,
I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 3. I will open | rivers in high places,
And fountains in the midst of the valleys; 4. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land | springs of water.

SELECTION 336. [Is. xliii. 4.] 1. Since thou wast precious | in my sight,
Thou hast been honorable, and I I have loved thee: 2. Therefore will I give | men for thee,
And people for thy life.
3. Fear not: for | I am with thee:
And gather thee from the West; 4. I will say to the North, Give
up; And to the South, | Keep not back: 5. Bring my | sons from far,
And my daughters from the ends of the earth: 6. Every one that is / called by my name;
For I have created' him for my glory; 7. I have form-ed him;
Yea, | I have made him.

In an acceptable time have I heard thee,
"And in a day of salvation have I helped thee : 2. And I will preserve thee,
And give thee for a covenant of the people, 3. To establish the earth,
To cause to inherit the desolate heritages : 4. That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth!
To them that are in darkness, Show yourselves ! 5. They shall | feed in the ways,
And their pastures shall be in all high places. 6. They shall not | hunger nor thirst;
Neither shall the heat nor sun smite them : 7. For he that hath mercy | on them shall lead them,
Even by the springs of water | shall He guide them. 8. And I will make all my
And my highways shall be exalted. 9. Behold! these shall | come from far;
And, lo! these from the north and from the west;

The faces of elders | were not honored. 5. They took the young men to grind,
And the children fell | under the wood. 6. The elders have | ceased from the gate, The
young men from their music. 7. The joy of our heart is ceased;
Our dance is turned into mourning. 8. The crown is fallen | from our head :
Woe unto us! that we have sinned. [Cht. 115.] SELECTION 339. [Lam. v. 17.] 1. For this our heart is faint;
For these things our eyes are dim; 2. Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate;
The foxes | walk upon it. 3. Thou, O JEHOVAH! remainest for ever ;
Thy throne from generation to generation. 4. Wherefore dost thou for get us for ever?
And forsake us for | length of days? 5. Turn thou us unto thee, | O JEHOVAH!
And we shall he turned; renew our | days as of old. 6. But thou hast utterly rejected us;
Thou art very | wroth against us. [Cht. 83.] SELECTION 340. (Ps. xxxii.] 1. O JEHOVAH! remember David,
And all his afflictions : 2. How he sware | to JEHOVAH,
And vowed unto the Mighty | One of Jacob; 3. Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house,
Nor go up in to my bed; 4. I will not give sleep | to mine eyes,
Or slumber | to mine eyelids, 5. Until I find out a place for JEHOVAH,
Habitations for the Mighty | One of Jacob. 6. Lo! we heard of it | at Ephratah:
We found it in the fields of the wood. 7. We will go into his tabernacles :
We will worship | at his footstool.

[Rev. xxi.] 1. And I | saw a new heaven And a
new earth; 2. For the first heaven and the first earth | passed away,
And the sea | was no more. 3. And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem,
Descending out of heaven from GOD, 4 Prepared | as a bride
Adorned for her husband. 5. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying,
"Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
And he shall | dwell with them, 6. And they shall be his people;
And God himself shall be with | them, their God. 7. And he shall wipe away all | tears from their eyes;
And death shall be no more ; 8. Neither sorrow nor crying nor | pain shall be more;
For the former things are passed away. 9. And He that sat up on the throne said,
Behold, I make all things new ; 10. I will give to l him that thirsteth
Of the fountain of the water of life freely.
SELECTION 342. [Rev. xxi. 10.] 1. And he led me a way in the spirit
Upon a mountain | great and high, 2. And showed me the city, | Holy Jerusalem,
Descending out of heaven from God,
*Having the glory of God. 3. And I saw no | temple therein ;
[temple of it. 'For the Lord God Almighty, and the Lamb, are the 4. And the city had no need of the sun,
Neither of the moon, to shine in it; 5. For the glory of God did lighten it,
And the Lamb is the | lamp thereof. 6. And the nations of them that are saved,
Shall walk in the light of it; 7. And the kings of the earth shall bring
Their glory and honor | into it. 8. And the gates of it shall not be shut by day:
'For night shall | not be there.
