¶If those who prefent the Infant fhall defire the fign of the Cross to be omitted, although the Church knows no worthy cause of fcruple concerning the fame, yet, in that cafe, the Minifter may omit that part of the above which follows the Immerfion, or the pouring of Water on the Infant. Then fhall the Minifter fay, EEING now, dearly beloved brethren, that this Child is regenerate, and grafted into the body of Chrift's of the Death of thy Son, he Church; let us give thanks unto Almighty God for thefe benefits, and with one accord make our prayers unto him, that this Child may lead the reft of his life according to this beginning.
