If there be occafion for the Office of Infant Baptifm, and that of Adults at the fame time, the Minister fhall use the exhortation and out of the prayers next following in the Office for Adults; only,

The exhortation and prayer, after the words thefe Perfons and there thy Servants, adding and thefe Infants. Then the Minifer hall proceed to the Questions to be demanded in the cafes refpectively. After the Immerfion, or the pouring of wafer, the prayer fhall be as in this fervice; only, after the words. thefe Perfons, shall be added, and thefe Infants. After which the remaining part of each fervice ball be used; first That for Adults, and laftly that for Infants.

If any Perfons not baptized in their infancy, shall be brought to. baptized before they come to years of difcretion to answer for Themfelves, it may fuffice to use the Office for Public Baptifm of Infants; or, in cafe of extreme danger, the Office for Private Baptifm only changing the word Infant, for, Child, or Perfon, es occafion requireth.

Queft. Who gave you this name?

Anfw. My Sponfors in Baptifm; wherein I was made a member of Chrift, the child of God, and an inheritor of the kingdom of Heaven. Quest. What did your Sponsors then for you?

Anfw. They did promife and vow three things in my name: First, that I fhould renounce the devil and all his works, the pomps and vanity of this wicked world, and all the finful lufts of the flesh; Secondly, that I fhould believe all the Articles of the Chriftian Faith; And thirdly, that I fhould keep God's holy will and commandments, and walk in the fame all the days of my life.

Queft. Doft thou not think that thou art bound to believe, and to do, as they have promised for thee?

Anfw. Yes verily; and by God's help fo I will: And I heartily thank our heavenly Father that he hath called me to this ftate of falvation,

through Jefus Chrift our Saviour: And I pray unto God to give me his grace, that I may continue in the fame unto my life's end.

Catechift. Rehearse the Articles of thy Belief.
