Sivu 94 - God a true, proper, and propitiatory sacrifice for the living and the dead : and that in the most holy Sacrament of the Eucharist there is truly, really, and substantially the Body and Blood, together with the Soul and Divinity, of our Lord Jesus Christ : and that there is made a conversion of the whole substance of the bread into the Body, and of the whole substance of the wine into the Blood ; which conversion the Catholic Church calls Transubstantiation.
Sivu 424 - Let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ, and the dispensers of the mysteries of God.
Sivu 424 - And he said unto another, Follow -me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead : but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
Sivu 40 - Through fields of air ; pursues the flying storm ; Rides on the volley'd lightning through the heavens • Or, yoked with whirlwinds and the northern blast, Sweeps the long tract of day. Then high she soars The blue profound, and, hovering round the sun, Beholds him pouring the redundant stream Of light ; beholds his unrelenting sway Bend the reluctant planets to absolve The fatal rounds of Time.
Sivu 94 - I believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible : And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of his Father before all worlds ; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made...

He suffered and was buried, And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures, And ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of the Father.
Sivu 71 - A fixed figure, for the hand of scorn To point his slow unmoving finger at, — Yet I could bear that too ; well, very well : But there, where I have garner'd up my heart ; Where either I must live, or bear no life ; The fountain from the which my current runs, Or else dries up ; to be discarded thence...
Sivu 94 - Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
Sivu 94 - I also affirm that the power of Indulgences was left by Christ in the Church, and that the use of them is most wholesome to Christian people.
Sivu 94 - I profess, likewise, that in the mass there is offered to God a true, proper, and propitiatory sacrifice for the living and the dead. And that in the most holy sacrament of the eucharist, there is truly, really, and substantially the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ...
