perience a proportionable measure of joy, which is an abundant recompense for the toil with which it is acquired. Let us, then, consider our state, and be ashamed that we have need of milk, when we ought to require meat. Let us no longer neglect the rich provision ordained for such as desire to go on unto perfection; but, by daily increasing in knowledge of the Scriptures, and the practise of Christian love (which includes every grace,) run, not as uncertainly, and fight, not as one that beateth the air,—but with the assurance that we may attain to a glorious prize, if we persevere unto the end.
