A BILL ΤΟ Confirm a Provisional Order of the Minister HEREAS the Minister of Health has made the A.D. 1928. under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1888: 51 & 52 Vict. And whereas it is requisite that the said Order c. 41. 5 should be confirmed by Parliament : Be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this present Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same 10 as follows: 1. Provisional Order made in pursuance of the Local WHEREAS by virtue of section 54 of the Local Government 5 And whereas the existing Borough of Luton in the And whereas the Borough has a separate commission of the peace and police force; And whereas in pursuance of the Education Act 1921 the Council of the Borough are the local education authority for 20 the purposes of elementary education; And whereas the Borough is coextensive with the Parish of Luton and is an urban district under the jurisdiction of the Mayor Aldermen and Burgesses acting by the Council; And whereas the Parishes of Caddington Hyde Leagrave 25 Limbury and Stopsley in the Administrative County of Bedford immediately adjoin the Borough and are contributory places in the Rural District of Luton and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Rural District Council of Luton and are entitled to elect Parish Councils : Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the powers given to him by sections 54 and 59 of the Local Government Act 1888 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby orders as follows: PART I.
