PSALM XXV.

8.

THE Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Though a host should encamp against me, my | heart shall not fear :

Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion:

In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me, he shall set me up on a rock.

Therefore will I offer in the tabernacle | sacrifices of |

joy;

I will sing, yea, I will sing | praises un | to the | Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice:
Have mercy also | upon me and | answer me.
When thou saidst, | Seek ye my | face,

My heart said unto thee, Thy | face Lord

Hide not thy face far | from me; |

Put not thy servant a way in | anger.

Thou hast been my | help;

The God of glory | thundereth.

The Lord is upon many | waters:

The voice of the Lord | is full of majesty:
The voice of the | Lord | breaketh the cedars.
The voice of the Lord | shaketh the | wilderness';
And in his temple doth every one | speak | of his Į

The Lord sitteth up on the flood;

Yea, the Lord sitteth | King for ever,

The Lord will give strength unto his people;
The Lord will bless his people with | peace.

BLESSED is he whose transgression | is for | given, Whose sin is | covered.

·

Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth | not in iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no guile,

And mine iniquity have I not hid.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found; Surely in the floods of great waters they shall | not come nigh unto him.

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt pre | serve me from trouble;

Thou shall compass me about with songs of de liverance.

I will instruct thee, and teach thee in the way which | thou shaltgo:

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked:

But he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall | compass him about.

Be glad in the | Lord,

And rejoice, ye | righteous:

And shout for | joy,

All ye that are up right in heart.

For the word of the | Lord is | right;
And all his works are į done in | truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment:

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap:

He layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth | fear the Lord:

Let all the inhabitants of the world | stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done;

He commanded, and it stood | fast.

The counsel of the Lord | standeth for | ever:
The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose | God is the | Lord;
And the people whom he hath chosen | for his | own
