Thy throne, O gou, is for ever and ever; Thou hast ascended on | high; Yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might | dwell a | mong them. In the multitude of my thoughts with | in me, K For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in | wickedness; Neither shall evil | dwell with thee. With the merciful, thou wilt | shew thyself | merciful; With the upright man, thou wilt | shew thyself | upright. With the pure, thou wilt shew thyself pure: And with the froward, thou wilt | shew thyself | froward. For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But wilt bring down | high | looks. Oh continue thy loving kindness unto them that | know thee, And thy righteousness to the upright in | heart. Make them to drink of the river of thy | pleasures; For with thee is the fountain of | life. For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: Thy faithfulness shall be established in the very | heavens. I will behave myself wisely in a perfect | way: For they say, How doth God | know? And how should there be | knowledge | in the most } high? Lo these are wicked | men; Yet they are even prosperous, they in | crease in | wealth: When I study to know this, It is too painful for me; Until I enter into the sanctuary of | God; Surely thou settest them in | slippery | places; Surely the wrath of | man shall | praise thee; He that planted the ear, shall | he not hear? He that teacheth man knowledge, | shall not | he [ know? Offer unto God thanks | giving; And pay thy vows un to the most | high. I will deliver thee, and | thou shalt | glorify me. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my | statutes, Or that thou shouldest take my covenant | in thy mouth, Seeing thou hatest instruction, and | castest my word behind thee? These things hast thou done, and | I kept | silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether | such a one | as thyself. But I will re | prove thee, And set them in order be | fore thine | eyes. Be still, and know that I am | God: I will be exalted | in the | earth. Whoso offereth praise | glorifieth | me, And to him that ordereth his conversation aright, will I shew the sal | vation of | God. SELECTED. 58. BLESSED is the man that | feareth the | Lord, ness; He is gracious, and | full of com | passion and | right eous.
