Thou hast ascended on | high;
Thou hast led cap | tivity | captive;
Thou hast received | gifts for | men ;

THOU hast redeemed me, O Lord | God of | truth;
I will be glad, and rejoice | in thy | mercy.

For thou hast considered my | trouble;
Thou hast known my soul in adversity.

I trusted in thee, O | Lord;

I said, Thou art my God.
My times are in thy hands;

Into thy hands I commit my | spirit.

When I said, My foot | slippeth,

Thy mercy, O Lord, | held me up.

In the multitude of my thoughts with | in me,
Thy comforts de light my soul.

K

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in | wickedness;

Neither shall evil | dwell with thee.

With the merciful, thou wilt | shew thyself | merciful; With the upright man, thou wilt | shew thyself | upright.

With the pure, thou wilt

shew thyself pure: And with the froward, thou wilt | shew thyself | froward.

For thou wilt save the afflicted people;

But wilt bring down | high | looks.

Oh continue thy loving kindness unto them that | know thee,

And thy righteousness to the upright in | heart. Make them to drink of the river

of thy | pleasures;

For with thee is the fountain of | life.

I WILL sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever; With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect | way:
I will set no wicked thing before mine | eyes.
I will not incline my heart to any evil | thing,
To practice wicked works with men that work
iniquity.

For they say, How doth God | know?

And how should there be | knowledge | in the most } high?

Lo these are wicked | men;

Yet they are even prosperous, they in | crease in |

wealth:

When I study to know this,

It is too painful for me;

Until I enter into the sanctuary of | God;
Then under stand I their end.

Surely thou settest them in | slippery | places;
Thou causest them to fall into de | struction.
How in a moment do they become | desolate!
They are utterly consumed with terrors.

Surely the wrath of | man shall | praise thee;
And the remainder of wrath thou shalt re | strain.
Thou answerest them, O | Lord our | God:
Thou art a God that forgivest them, though thou
takest | vengeance of their inventions.

He that planted the ear, shall | he not hear?
He that formed the eye, shall he not see?
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not | he cor

He that teacheth man knowledge, | shall not | he [

know?

Offer unto God thanks | giving;

And pay thy vows un to the most | high.
And call upon me in the day of | trouble;

I will deliver thee, and | thou shalt | glorify me.

But unto the wicked God saith,

What hast thou to do to declare my | statutes,

Or that thou shouldest take my covenant | in thy mouth,

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and | castest my word behind thee?

These things hast thou done, and | I kept | silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether | such a one | as thyself.

But I will re | prove thee,

And set them in order be | fore thine | eyes.

Be still, and know that I am | God:

I will be exalted | in the | earth.

And to him that ordereth his conversation aright, will I shew the sal | vation of | God.
