HYMN IX.

Tis a good Thing to give Thanks unto the Lord, and to fing Praifes unto thy Name, O Moft High.

To fhew forth thy loving Kindness in the Morning, and thy Faithfulness every Night.

Upon an Inftrument of ten Strings, and upon the Pfaltery; upon the Harp with a folemn Sound.

For thou, Lord, haft made me glad through thy Work: I will triumph in the Works of thy Hands.

O Lord, how great are thy Works! and thy Thoughts are very deep.

A brutish Man knoweth not, neither doth a Fool underftand this.

When the Wicked spring as the Grafs, and when all the Workers of Iniquity do flourish; it is that they fhall be deftroyed for ever.

But thou, Lord, art moft high for evermore.

For lo, thine Enemies, O Lord, for lo, thine Enemies fhall perish; all the Workers of Iniquity fhall be scattered. The Righteous fhall flourish like the Palm Tree; he fhall grow like a Cedar in Lebanon.

Those that be planted in the Houfe of the Lord, fhall flourish in the Courts of our God.

They fhall ftill bring forth Fruit in old Age; they shall be fat, and flourishing:

To fhew that the Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no Unrighteoufnefs in him.

The Lord reigneth, he is cloathed with Majefty; the Lord is cloathed with Strength wherewith he hath girded

himfelf:

himfelf: The World alfo is 'ftablished, that it cannot be moved.

Thy Throne is established of old: Thou art from everlafting.

The Floods are lifted up, O Lord, the Floods have lifted up their Voice, the Floods lift up their Waves.

The Lord on high is mightier than the Noife of many Waters, yea, than the mighty Waves of the Sea.

Thy Teftimonies are very fure: Holinefs becometh thine Houfe, O Lord, for ever.

HYMN X.

Come, & let us fing unto the Lord: Let us make a joyful Noife to the Rock of our Salvation.

Let us come before his Prefence with Thanksgiving, and make a joyful Noife unto him with Pfalms.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all Gods,

In his Hand are the deep Places of the Earth: The Strength of the Hills is his alto.

The Sea is his, and he made it; and his Hands formed the dry Land.

O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

For he is our God, and we are the People of his Pafture, and the Sheep of his Hand: To Day if ye will hear his Voice,

Harden not your Hearts as in the Provocation, and as in the Day of Temptation in the Wilderness.

O fing unto the Lord a new Song: Sing unto the Lord, all the Earth.

Sing unto the Lord, blefs his Name; fhew forth his Salvation from Day to Day.

Declare his Glory among the Heathen, his Wonders among all People.

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all Gods.

Say among the Heathen, that the Lord reigneth: The World alfo fhall be eftablished that it fhall not be moved; he fhall judge the People righteously.

Let the Heavens rejoice, and let the Earth be glad let the Sea roar, and the Fulnefs thereof.

Let the Field be joyful, and all that is therein: Then fhall all the Trees of the Wood rejoice

Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the Earth He fhall judge the World with Righteoufnefs, and the People with his Truth.

The Lord reigneth, let the Earth rejoice, let the Multitude of Ifles be glad thereof.

Clouds and Darknefs are round about him; Righteoufnefs and Judgment are the Habitation of his Throne.

The Heavens declare his Righteousness, and all the People fee his Glory.

Confounded be all they that ferve graven Images, that boaft themfelves of Idols. Worfhip him all ye Gods. Zion heard, and was glad, and the Daughters of Judab rejoiced becaufe of thy Judgments, O Lord.

For thou, Lord, art high above all the Earth; thou art exalted far above all Gods.

Rejoice in the Lord, ye Righteous, and give Thanks at the Remembrance of his Holiness.

HYMN XII.

BLESS & the Lord, O my Soul; and all that is with

in me, blefs his holy Name.

Bless the Lord, O my Soul, and forget not all his Be

nefits.

Who forgiveth all thine Iniquities, who healeth all thy Diseases.

Who redeemeth thy Life from Deftruction; who crowneth thee with loving Kindness and tender Mercies.

Who fatisfieth thy Mouth with good Things: So that thy Youth is renewed like the Eagle's.

The Lord executeth Righteoufnefs and Judgment for all that are oppreffed.

He made known his Ways unto Mofes, his A&s unto the Children of Ifrael.

The Lord is merciful and gracious, flow to Anger, and plenteous in Mercy.

He will not always chide; neither will he keep his Anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our Sins, nor rewarded us according to our Iniquities.

For as the Heaven is high above the Earth, fo great is his Mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the Eaft is from the Weft, fo far hath he removed our Tranfgreffions from us.

Like as a Father pitieth his Children, fo the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our Frame, he remembreth that we are Duft.

As for Man, his Days are as Grafs: As a Flower of the "Field, fo he flourisheth.

For the Wind paffeth over it, and it is gone; and the Place thereof fhall know it no more.

But the Mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him: And his Righteousness untu Childrens Children.

To fuch as keep his Covenant, and to those that remember his Commandments to do them.

The Lord hath prepared his Throne in the Heavens : And his Kingdom ruleth ever all.
