down inviolate to our children and our children's children.

Send down thy blessing, we humbly beseech thee, on our Queen. May we evermore have reason to rejoice in her, as the minister of thy providence for good; and after a prosperous and happy rule in this world, may she at length be rewarded in thy heavenly and everlasting kingdom.

We entreat thee to visit with thy favour the Prince Consort and all the Royal family. Grant them wisdom, virtue and happiness. in this world, and in the world to come, life everlasting.

May it please thee, O God, to bless the Queen's Counsellors, our Senators, and all the Judges and Magistrates of this land, with integrity and wisdom. May they faithfully discharge the duties of their elevated stations and do thou direct and prosper all their consultations and decisions to the advancement of thy glory, and to the safety, honour and welfare of these kingdoms.

O God, the Father of lights, endue the Ministers of the Gospel of every denomination with the spirit of Jesus Christ. May they diligently pursue the good work of

instructing the ignorant, reforming the vicious, and improving the just; and by the holiness of their lives and the excellence of their doctrine, may they save themselves, and those who hear them.

Great God, we implore thy blessing on the whole human race. Illuminate and comfort by thy holy Spirit, all that seek after truth and righteousness under every religious dispensation, that all the kingdoms of the earth may come finally to the knowledge of thee, the only true God, and of Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. Amen.

Concluding Prayer.

ALMIGHTY and most merciful God, accept, we beseech thee, the praises and prayers we have now presented unto thee, and do for us abundantly above all we can ask or think, for the sake of that perfect goodness, which is essential to thy nature; which is the foundation of all our hopes; which is the everlasting principle of thy government; and which was eminently displayed in the redemption of the world by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour;

through whom unto thee, O Father, be all might, majesty, and dominion, for ever and ever. Amen.

Benediction.

THE grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all evermore. Amen.

SEEK ye the Lord, while he may be found; call ye upon him, while he is Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him ; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah, lv. 6, 7. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. Psalm lxv. 1, 2.

God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshiped with men's hands as though he needed anything;

seeing he giveth to all life and breath and all things. For in him we live and move and have our being. Acts, xvii. 24, 25, 28.

DEARLY beloved brethren, we are here

met together in the name and as the disciples of Jesus Christ, for the worship of Almighty God our heavenly Father. It is our duty, with sincere and humble hearts, to praise and glorify his holy name; to give thanks for all his mercies; to hearken to his divine commandments; and to pray for such things as are needful to us and to all men. And in so drawing nigh to God, we must bear in mind our true state and condition before him; that we are not only his dependent creatures, but that through folly, weakness, and perversity, we have transgressed his holy will. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us; but if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us therefore now, with lowly and contrite spirits, confess and lament before him the manifold sins and infirmities of our lives.
