The rates and scales of pay shown in brackets (except where shown as inclusive) carry an addition in respect of cost of living bonus payable in accordance with the scheme set out in the Appendix on page 96. The money provision for each item represents the total remuneration, including bonus where payable. Extra remuneration in the form of Extra Duty pay, Sunday pay, or Bank Holiday pay, is made to Post Office servants at hourly rates authorised by the Treasury for the various classes of officers, and a number of officers thus receive more than £50 a year each in extra remuneration.
