Sivu 35 - Existing international agreements and arrangements in force between the United States and Taiwan shall continue in force and shall be performed and enforced by departments and agencies beginning January 1, 1979, in accordance with their terms and, as appropriate, through that instrumentality.
Sivu 70 - Taiwan with arms of a defensive character ; and (6) to maintain the capacity of the United States to resist any resort to force or other forms of coercion that would jeopardize the security, or the social or economic system, of the people on Taiwan.

Sivu 71 - Congress approves the continuation in force 'of all treaties and other international agreements, including multilateral conventions, entered in to by the United States and the governing authorities on Taiwan recognized by the United States as the Republic of China prior to January 1, 1979, and in force between them on December 31, 1978, unless and until terminated in accordance with law.
Sivu 35 - Between the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Coordination Council for North American Affairs (CCNAA) was concluded at the ROC-US copyright talks in Washington DC in January 1989.
Sivu 37 - December 30, 1978, which stated that "existing international agreements and arrangements in force between the United States and Taiwan shall continue in force." The Administration welcomed the addition of Section 4(c) of the Taiwan Relations Act, which approved the continuation in force of such agreements "unless and until terminated in accordance with law" because that provision further removed any doubt about their continuing validity.
