CA P. III. Ordonnance pour rendre permanents certains Actes de la Législature de cette Province, relatifs au District de Saint François. TTENDU qu'il est expédient de rendre permanents les Actes de la Législature A de cette Province ci-après mentionnés, qui ont été continués en force par une Préambule. certaine Ordonnance de Son Excellence l'Administrateur du Gouvernement de cette Province, autorisé à exécuter la commission de Gouverneur d'icelle, et du Conseil Spécial pour les affaires de la dite Province, passée dans la première année du règne de Sa Majesté, intitulée, "Ordonnance pour continuer pendant un temps limité "les divers Actes de la Législature de cette Province, relatifs au District de Saint François," jusqu'au premier jour de Novembre, mil huit cent quarante deux, temps auquel ils expireraient autrement :-Qu'il soit donc Ordonné et Statué par Son Excellence le Gouverneur de cette Province du Bas-Canada, par et de l'avis et consentement du Conseil Spécial pour les affaires de cette Province, constitué et assemblé en vertu et sous l'autorité d'un Acte du Parlement du Royaume-Uni la Grande Bretagne et d'Irlande, passé dans la première année du règne de Sa présente Majesté, intitulé, "Acte pour établir des dispositions tempraires pour le Gouvernement du Bas-Canada;" et aussi en vertu et sous l'autorité l'un certain autre Acte du même Parlament passé dans la Session tenue dans les dexième et troisième années du règne de Sa présente Majesté, intitulé, "Acte pur amender un Acte de la dernière Session du Parlement, pour "établir des dispsitions temporaires pour le Gouvernenent du Bas-Canada," et il est par les présentes Ordonné et Statué par l'autorité des dits Actes du Parlement, que l'Acte de la égislature de cette Province, passé dans la troisième année du règne de Sa feue lajesté le Roi George Quatre, et intitulé, "Acte pour ériger cer- 17.3 "tains Townshipsy mentionnés en un District Inférieur qui sera appelé le District "Inférieur de Sait François, et pour y établir des Cours de Judicature," tel qu'amendé par les Ates ci-après mentionnés, et l'Acte de la dite Législature passé dans les dixième et onzièe années du règne de Sa dite feue Majesté, intitulé, "Acte 10 et 11_Geo. pour continuer etore pour un temps limité un certain Acte passé dans la trois"ième année du gne de Sa Majesté, intitulé, "Acte pour ériger certains Townships y meionnés en un District Inférieur qui sera appelé le District Inférieur de SainFrançois, et pour y établir des Cours de Judicature," et qui pourvoit " Acte 3, GeoIV. c. IV. c. 7. 2 Will. IV. c. 8, and 3 Will. IV. c. 18, made per manent. due administration of Justice in the said District," as amended by the Acts hereinafter mentioned and the Act of the said Legislature, passed in the second year of the Reign of His said Majesty King William the Fourth, intituled, "An Act to make better provision with regard to appeals from the Provincial Court of the "Inferior District of Saint Francis, to establish Circuits therein, and to extend the "benefit of the Trial by Jury to the said Inferior District," as amended by the Act hereinafter mentioned, and the Act of the said Legislature passed in the third year of the Reign of His said late Majesty, intituled, "An Act further to continue for a "limited time, and to amend a certain Act therein mentioned, relating to the Infe. "rior District of Saint Francis," shall be, and the said Acts are hereby made permanent and shall remain in force until repealed or altered by competent authority, any thing in the said Acts or Ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding. An Ordinance to render permanent certain Acts therein mentioned, relating to the administration of Justice in the Inferior District of Gaspé. W 'HEREAS it is expedient to render permanent the several Acts of the Provincial Legislature hereinafter mentioned :-Be it therefore Ordained and Enacted by His Excellency the Governor of this Province of Lower Canada, by and with the advice and consent of the Special Council for the affairs of this Province, constituted and assembled by virtue and under the authority of an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, passed in the first year of the Reign of Her present Majesty, intituled, "An Act to make temporary provision for the Government of Lower Canada," and also by virtue and under the authority of a certain other Act of the same Parliament, passed in the Session held in the second and third years of the Reign of Her present Majesty, intituled, "An Act to amend an Act of the last Session of Parliament, for making temporary provision for the Government of Lower Canada;" And it is hereby Ordained and Enacted by the authority of the said Acts of Parliament, that a certain Act passed Act 2, Geo. IV. in the second year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the Fourth, chapter five, intituled, "An Act to extend the provisions of a certain Act therein mentioned, as far as the same relates to the Judicature of the Inferior District of Gaspé, " and more effectually to provide for the due administration of Justice in the said District," as amended by the Acts therein mentioned, and a certain other Act passed in the fourth year of the Reign of His said Majesty, chapter seven, intituled, "An Act to amend a certain Act therein mentioned, and further to extend the jurisdiction of "the Provincial Court for the Inferior District of Gaspé," as amended by the Acts hereinafter mentioned, and a certain other Act passed in the sixth year of the Reign of His said Majesty, chapter twenty-five, intituled, "An Act to amend and continue for a limited time, two certain Acts therein mentioned, relating to the Judicature in the Inferior District of Gaspé," as amended by the Act hereinafter mentioned, and a certain other Act passed in the second year of the Reign of His made perma late Majesty King William the Fourth, intituled, "An Act to continue and amend "certain Acts relating to the Judicature of the Inferior District of Gaspé," which said Acts have since been continued in force by other Acts of the Provincial Legislature, and by an Ordinance of the Governor of this Province and of the Special Council for the affairs thereof, passed in the second year of Her Majesty's Reign, chapter twenty, until the first day of November, one thousand eight hundred and forty-two, when they would otherwise expire, shall be, and the said Acts so amended as afore 4 Geo. TTENDU qu'il est expédient de rendre permanents les divers Actes de la Législature Provinciale ci-après mentionnés:-Qu'il soit donc Ordonné et Statué par Son Excellence le Gouverneur de cette Province du Bas-Canada, par et de l'avis et consentement du Conseil Spécial pour les affaires de la dite Province, constitué et assemblé en vertu et sous l'autorité d'un Acte du Parlement du Royaume-Uni de la Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande, passé dans la première année du règne de Sa présente Majesté, intitulé, "Acte pour établir des dispositions temporaires pour le Gouvernement du Bas-Canada," et aussi en vertu et sous l'autorité d'un certain autre Acte du même Parlement, passé dans la Session tenue dans les deuxième et troisième années du règne de Sa présente Majesté, intitulé," Acte pour amender un Acte de la dernière Session du Parlement, pour "établir des dispositions temporaires pour le Gouvernement du Bas-Canada," et il est par les présentes Ordonné et Statué par l'autorité susdite, qu'un certain autre Acte, passé dans la seconde année du règne de Sa Majesté le Roi George Quatre, chapitre cinq, intitulé, "Acte pour étendre les dispositions d'un certain Acte y c.5. mentionné, en autant qu'il a rapport à la Judicature dans le District Inférieur de Gaspé, et pour pourvoir plus efficacement à la bonne administration de la Justice "dans le dit district," tel qu'amendé par les Actes ci-après mentionné, et un certain autre Acte passé dans la quatrième année du règne de Sa dite Majesté, chapitre sept, intitulé, "Acte pour amender un cer"tain Acte y mentionné, et pour étendre d'avantage la Jurisdiction de la Cour "Provinciale pour le District Inférieur de Gaspé," tel qu'amendé par les Actes ci-après mentionnés, et un certain autre Acte passé dans la sixième année du règne 6 Geo. IV. c. de Sa dite Majesté, chapitre vingt-cinq, intitulé, "Acte pour amender et continuer pour un temps limité deux certains Actes y mentionnés concernant la Judicature "dans le District Inférieur de Gaspé," tel qu'amendé par l'Acte ci-après mentionné, et un certain autre Acte passé dans la seconde année du règne de Sa dite feue Majesté le Roi Guillaume Quatre, intitulé, Acte pour continuer pour un temps limité et pour amender certains Actes relatifs à la Judicature du District Inférieur de manents. Gaspé," lesquels dits Actes ont depuis été continués en force par d'autres Actes de la Législature Provinciale, et par l'Ordonnance du Gouverneur de cette Province et du Conseil Spécial pour les affaires d'icelle, passée dans la seconde année du règne de Sa Majesté, chapitre vingt, jusqu'au premier jour de Novembre, mil huit cent quarante deux, temps auquel ils expireraient autrement, seront, et les dits Actes, ainsi amendés comme susdit, sont par les présentes rendus permanents, et demeu 4 Geo.
