The Queen has been pleased to approve of Mr. Ludwig von der Pfordten, as Consul at Malta for His Majesty the King of Hanover.

COURT OF EXCHEQUER.

Monday the 31st day of January, A.D. 1848. This Court will hold Sittings, on Friday the 18th day of February next, for the purpose of giving Judgment in all Cases then standing for Judgment. By the Court.

The Right Honourable Sir Thomas Wilde, Knt. Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Common Pleas at Westminster, has appointed Henry Stiles, of Northleach, in the county of Gloucester, Gent. to be one of the Perpetual Commissioners for taking the acknowledgments of deeds to be executed by married women, under the Act passed for the abolition of fines and recoveries and for the substitution of more simple modes of assurance, in and for the county of Gloucester.

THE Queen has been pleased to grant unto Robert Cannon, Esq. Colonel in the service of Her Majesty the Queen of Spain, and Knight of the First and Second Class of the National and Military Order of St. Ferdinand of Spain, Her royal licence and permission, that he may accept and wear the insignia of a Knight of the Number Extraordinary of the Royal and Distinguished Order of Charles the Third, which the Queen of Spain hath been pleased to confer upon him, in consideration of his services in the field, when actually employed in the service of Her Catholic

Majesty; and that he may enjoy all the rights and privileges thereunto annexed; provided, nevertheless, that Her Majesty's royal licence and permission doth not authorize, and shall not be deemed or construed to authorize, the assumption of any style, appellation, rank, precedence, or privilege appertaining unto a Knight Bachelor of these realms :

And also to command, that the said concession and especial mark of Her royal favour be registered, together with the relative documents, in Her Majesty's College of Arms.
