Personal Experiences of S.O. SusagCosimo, Inc., 1.11.2006 - 200 sivua On one occasion while I was in Europe I visited at my wife's request, a cousin of hers who had been ill and confined to her bed for twenty-one years. She had become bedfast when she was nineteen. When I first visited her, as she did not understand anything about divine healing, she got quite peeved at the instructions I gave her. However her father, my wife's uncle, got gloriously saved. Two weeks later I got a letter from the woman asking me to come again and I went. Then she repented and turned to the Lord. I prayed for her and the Lord raised her up. -from Personal Experiences of S.O. Susag American missionary S.O. SUSAG (1862-1952) was born in Norway emigrated to America as a young man. His subsequent conversion to an evangelical Christianity launched his life as a preacher, and he traveled America and Scandinavia spreading the word of God as he heard it. An almost forgotten work of faith in action, he relates illuminating tales of souls saved, prayers answered, and the hand of God moving in mysterious ways. An intriguing document of a bygone moment of in the history of Christianity in America, S.O. Susag's story will move and inspire the faithful and devout. |

Sivu 151 - ... and about the middle of December I left my honu, for New York City. On the 24th of December my wife took so seriously ill that she was not expected to live. They begged to have a telegram sent to me asking me to return. Finally, about two o'clock in the night, when...
Sivu 22 - Halt!" said Tom, and the three dogs stopped instantly; Turk, not daring to turn his head to see what was the matter, for fear of losing his balance, blinked out of the corner of his eye, as much as to say, "I wouldn't turn round if I could." "Pete Trone," said Tom gravely, "it is evident that this punishment is not severe enough for you; a dog that has time to wag his tail and yawn, cannot be in much anxiety to keep his position on the fence. Pete Trone, Esquire, for the rest of the way you shall...

It was indeed, a sad sight. As a seaman was running by, I asked him to direct me to the...

On the 24th of December my wife took so seriously ill that she was not expected to live. She had faith that the Lord would raise her up ; but the children were much distressed, fearing...
