SUPERIORITY OF MASTER. Prov. xii, 9. He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

Luke xxii, 27. For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sit teth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

John xiii, 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

PRECEPTS.

Lev. xxv, 43. Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour, but shalt fear thy God.

Prov. xxix, 21. He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child, shall have him become his son at the length.
