1 Thess. iii, 6-9. But now, when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrances of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God.

3 John 8. We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellow-helpers to the truth.

Acts ix, 38. And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

Acts x, 5, 6, 21-24, 32, 33. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea-side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. Then Peter

went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius, and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come? And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him. And the morrow alter they entered into Cesarea,

And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea-side; who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee. Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

Matth. x, 1, 8-10. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves; for the workman is worthy of his meat.

as are set before you.

1 Or. ix, 6-11, 14. Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working? Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard,

and eateth not of the fruit thereof?

or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? Say I these things as a man? or saith

not the law the same also? For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the

corn.

Doth God take care for

oxen? Or saith he it altogether

for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that plougheth should plough in hope; and that he that thrasheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. If we have sown unto you it we shall reap your carnal spiritual things, is it a great thing things? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
