4 Then praise ye the Lord-prepare a glad song,
And let all his saints in full concert join;
With voices united the anthem prolong,
And show forth his praises with music divine.

*TATE & BRady.

The Same. Ps. 149.

10 PRAISE ye the Lord-prepare your glad voice
His praise in the great assembly to sing;
In their great Creator let all men rejoice,
And heirs of salvation be glad in their King.

2 Let them his great name devoutly adore,
In loud-swelling strains his praises express,
Who graciously opens his bountiful store
Their wants to relieve, and his children to bless.

3 With glory adorned, his people shall sing
To God who defence and plenty supplies;
Their loud acclamations to him, their great King,
Through earth shall be sounded, and reach to the
skies.

4 Ye angels above, his glories who've sung, In loftiest notes now publish his praise;

We mortals, delighted, would borrow your tongue, Would join in your numbers, and chant to your lays.

Praise through Time and Eternity.
1 SONGS of praise the angels sang,
Heaven with hallelujahs rang,
When Jehovah's work begun-
When he spake, and it was done.

2 Songs of praise awoke the morn When the Prince of peace was born; Songs of praise arose when he Captive led captivity.

3 Heaven and earth must pass away:
Songs of praise shall crown that day.
God will make new heavens and earth:
Songs of praise shall hail their birth.

4 And will man alone be dumb
Till that glorious kingdom come?
No-the church delights to raise
Psalms and hymns and songs of praise.

5 Saints below, with heart and voice,
Still in songs of praise rejoice-
Learning here, by faith and love,
Songs of praise to sing above.

6 Borne upon the latest breath,
Songs of praise shall conquer death;
Then, amidst eternal joy,

Songs of praise their powers employ.

The Same.

1 HOLY, holy, holy, Lord!
Be thy glorious name adored.
Lord, thy mercies never fail :
Hail, celestial goodness, hail!

2 Though unworthy, Lord, thine ear,
Deign our humble songs to hear;
Purer praise we hope to bring
When around thy throne we sing.

3 While on earth ordained to stay
Guide our footsteps in thy way;
Then on high we'll joyful raise
Songs of everlasting praise.

4 There no tongue shall silent be;
All shall join in harmony,

That through heaven's capacious round
Praise to thee may ever sound.

5 Lord, thy mercies never fail :
Hail, celestial goodness, hail!-
Holy, holy, holy Lord!

Be thy glorious name adored.

Praise from all Nations. Ps. 117.

1 ALL ye nations, praise the Lord;

All

voices raise;

lands, your
ye
Heaven and earth, with loud accord,
Praise the Lord, forever praise ;-

2 For his truth and mercy stand,
Past, and present, and to be,
Like the years of his right hand-
Like his own eternity.

3 Praise him, ye who know his love;
Praise him from the depths beneath;
Praise him in the heights above;
Praise your Maker, all that breathe.
