This work is printed in law-french, consisting of cases down to the end of the reign of Henry VI. and is evidently the first attempt to methodize our laws, as contained in the decisions from the reign of Edward the First in the Courts of Law. It contains many original authorities not extant in the Year-books of those times. Nicholas Statham was Baron of the Exchequer, in the time of Edward the Fourth.

The present copy exhibits one of the many instances of the deplorable destruction of the earlier productions of English printers. The fly-leaves are eight leaves of the Chronicle of England, printed by Caxton.
