ye would that men should do to you,do ye also to them likewise.
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye
would that men should do to you,
do ye even so to them for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate : for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many
there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 , Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles ?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit ; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
45 A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good: and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil : for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father whichisin heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils ? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
46 | And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
without a foundation, built an house upon the earth,
built his house upon the sand :
27 'And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine,
29 For he taught them as
one having authority, and not as the scribes.
against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately itfell, and the ruin of that house was great.
5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum,*
NOW when he had. ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he
entered into Capernaum.
2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick&ready to die.
3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
there came unto him a centurion,
4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this.
5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6 Then Jesus went with them.
And when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servent lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered
CHAP. VIII. Lord,
I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof,
but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9 For I am a man set under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh ; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled,
CHAP. VII. Lord, trouble not thyself, for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under
roof. 7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word,
my servant shall be healed.
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers : and I one, Go,and he goeth, and to another, Come, and he cometh : and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the
people that followed him,
I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.
and said to them
that followed, Verily,I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel.
11 And I say unto you, That many shall comefrom the east and west and shall sitdown with Abraham & Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gñashing of teeth.
13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way: and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.
