Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle, who shall dwell in thy holy hill?-Ps. xv. 1.

Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults. xix. 12.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths, lead me in thy truth and teach me ; for thou art the God of my salvation, on thee do I wait all the day. Remember, O Lord, thy ten

Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in mine integrity; I have trusted also in the Lord, therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth.-Ps. xxvi. 1.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes; then shall I not be ashamed when I have respect unto all thy commandments;

G

With my whole heart have I sought thee; O let me not wander from thy commandments; blessed art thou, O Lord, teach me thy statutes, deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live and keep thy word. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I am a stranger in the earth; hide not thy commandments from me. Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Incline my heart unto thy testimonies; teach me good judgment and knowledge; give me understanding that I may learn thy commandments.-Ps. cxix. 10, 12, 17, 18, 19, 33, 34.

Art thou the Christ? tell us.-Luke xxii. 67.

Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my meditation, hearken unto the voice of my cry, my king, and my God; for unto thee will I pray, my voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up, for thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee, the foolish shall not stand in thy sight; thou hatest all workers of iniquity, thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing, the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man, but as for me, I will come into thy

house in the multitude of thy mercy; and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.-Ps. v. 1-7.

O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure: have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are vexed; my soul is also sore vexed, but thou, O Lord, how long? Return, O Lord, deliver my soul. O save me for thy mercies' sake, for in death there is no remembrance of thee; in the grave who shall give thee thanks? I am weary with my groaning all the night, I make my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears, mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.-Ps. vi. 1—7.

Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: that

I
